A businesses office is the first impression clients get of a company; it should have a distinct style that compliments the company's branding and image. We have worked with many home builders, medical offices, and retail stores on their cabinetry and storage. Because each business and industry has its own distinct character, each new project brings a host of new challenges to solve through color, material, finish, decorative hardware and even grain direction.
This new brand office coffee center for New Dawn Restorations and New Dawn Developments 2017 office merge is no exception. I'm excited to take you behind the scenes today and show you how we reflected their business's distinct personality through their new office identity.
1 | INITIAL CONCEPT
Sherry Graburn, lead designer at New Dawn Developments, contacted Tiffany early last year to discuss their new cabinetry needs for their office merge with New Dawn Restorations. They were in the early stages of building an expansion on their head office in Cranbrook to move both branches of their business in under one roof. They needed three more washrooms and a coffee center to provide beverages to clients.
Sherry was well prepared with samples of paint, flooring and basic measurements in hand. Her palette incorporated soft beige, inviting colors, and a little bit of texture. It's an inviting, warm palette that will certainly make their clients feel comfortable.
Tiffany kept all of those details in mind as she created concepts for the new coffee bar, and after a couple revisions they landed on this one.
2 | DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Once we received the stamp of approval on the proposal, we met with Sherry one more time to review the details. During this meeting, we sat down with the CAD drawings and reviewed the bathroom vanities, reviewed appliance specifications and finalized color, counters and decorative hardware.
3 | MANUFACTURING
After the details were finalized we got the project into production. Our lead time on a project this size is typically about 2-3 weeks from final drawing approval to beginning of installation.
Although we share a lot about our side of the process, additional preparation and hard work goes into a new cabinetry project on the client end. Sherry went above and beyond on her homework, was always very prompt in her responses, and was a joy to work with.
4 | FINAL REVEAL
Our install team headed over to the New Dawn Offices to put in the cabinetry. What a stunning space! The final reveal is here. After all the decisions have been made the excitement for our clients to see the final product is beyond words!
